 AGAPE LOVE

ROMANS 13:14: Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

- Jesus sums up the commandments with one: LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

• This commandment is not the same love we use to feel in human relationships; it isn't by flesh or sex or a selfish feeling where it only wants and does not give up itself.

You see it in Rom 12:1

I “urge” you, brothers in view of “God’s mercy” = is a begging to pay attention to the following recommendation:

… to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. This is your spiritual act of worship.

- Give yourself all to God – it is giving yourself to glorify him.

 1st point Verse 1 of Romans 12 says is – Take care of your intimate life.

You need to care about your intimacy to be sure you are on the right path.

2nd point Verse 2 of Romans 12 says is – Look how the first love helps you manage the external world life, how you lead with the against-God system.

3rd point to note here is – How the love and power of God apply you to live these days, how the agape love and power o God enables you to various demands of life.

You know, the toughest people to preach and bring to the Kingdom of God is our family. It is because they know us better than anymore. They see us when we are angry, or fighting with our partner, they see our weakness which we never show in public and social life. They can see our mistakes when we try to hide them from society.

The second tough people are the neighbors, whatever if the Church neighbors or the Christian neighbors, they are though people to bring to God’s kingdom.

Think about it, on the service day, some of us make the mistake of parking in front of our neighbors to come here to church, and then this neighbor wants to go out, but your car is there disturbing him. And more, if this neighbor comes here to complain, you will say that the demon is disturbing your service! What do you think? Is he happy to have a church in his neighborhood? And what about your neighbor? He is watching what happens in your house, the noise and confusion and all the wrong things you do with your wife or husband, and how you are with your children, and what is he seeing? Is it a testimony to close him to God, or is it some like, oh I don’t have to be a Christian like this neighbor.

- Be full of God to love more, to pray more, to forgive and be different, to be transformed.

Love characteristics:

Be sincere, be devoted, honor one another, keep your spiritual fervor and live in harmony with others.

The Agape love power was given to us to wait for the coming of the Lord.

All Christian’s life is summed up in just one phrase: Undress off the world and clothe with the Lord Jesus.
